Lucia Lysle
Lucia Lysle is a mother daughter team with exquisite jewelry making skills. Lucia Waggoner, and her daughter, Lysle Huddleston create handmade pieces reminiscent of ancient times, with a distinctly modern feel.
Both women studied jewelry-making at Midwestern State University, and are particularly drawn to old, classical techniques. In keeping with the ancient Etruscan style of jewelry making, Waggoner and Huddleston begin by alloying gold grain to bring out the yellow. Their work involves braiding, granulation, and fusion. Each handmade piece takes four to six weeks to complete, and may include coins, precious and semiprecious stones.
