From Taos and Beyond:
The Art and Odyssey of Hans Paap

Our premier exhibition of paintings by world traveler and gifted artist Hans Paap (1890 -1967), will open November 9 through December 7, 2019. This exhibition features his distinctive and far-reaching achievements in portraiture and landscape paintings from the Southwestern United States, Europe, South America, and beyond.

“This exhibition represents the lifelong travels and painting brilliance of an unheralded master," says Gallery Owner Nedra Matteucci. "Early Taos artist Hans Paap is rediscovered through his colorful paintings, many of which have never before been offered for sale.”

This exhibition will feature a book signing for the recently published biography Hans Paap: Portraits and Landscapes by author Nancy Paap, well-known weaver and daughter of the artist.
